Señor, Padre Santo, que en Jesucristo, tu Hijo, presente
realmente en la Eucaristía, nos das la luz que ilumina a todo hombre que viene
a este mundo, y la vida verdadera que nos llena de alegría; te pedimos que
concedas a tu pueblo que peregrina al inicio del tercer milenio celebrar con
ánimo confiado el 48° Congreso Eucarístico Internacional, para que,
fortalecidos en este Banquete sagrado, seamos en Cristo, luz en las tinieblas,
y vivamos íntimamente unidos a Él, que es nuestra vida. Que la presencia eficaz
de Santa María, Madre del verdadero Dios, por quien se vive, nos sostenga y
acompañe siempre. Por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, tu Hijo, que vive y reina
contigo, en la unidad del Espíritu Santo, y es Dios por los siglos de los
siglos. Amén
